- Turn on red markers (LHS wall)
- Release hand brake
- Control circuit key on (RHS fireman side panel under dash)
- Marker lights white (LHS wall)
- Saloon lights on if required (funny switch in front of emergency brake lever)
- Throttle to full
- Start engines (LHS Wall)
- Throttle to idle
- Open doors
- Close doors
- Reverser forward
- Hand brake off
- Select gear
- Move off
- Fourth gear to coast
- Ctrl A to change up a gear - wait 2 seconds after change before applying power
- Ctrl D to change down a gear - wait 2 seconds after change before applying power
- / to move brake handle to lap
- 20lb - brakes off, 16lb - light, 12lb med, 8lb strong, 4lb very strong, 0lb full.
- Apply 8 inches of vacuum 10 time speed yards (400yards for 40 mph)
- Aim for 25 mph at start of platform (15 for short platforms)
- Move into neutral when under 10 mph
- Apply full brake to hold train then open door
